English reading practice - Euro Disney Opens (B1/B2 intermediate level English)

Euro Disney, also known as Disneyland Paris, is a popular theme park in France. It was opened on this day 12th April 1992 and is part of the Disney theme park franchise that originated in California. It is a magical place where kids and adults can have fun and create memories that will last a lifetime.


The park is located in Marne-la-Vallée, a town near Paris, and covers an area of 4,800 acres. There are two main parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Disneyland Park is where you can find classic Disney attractions, such as "Space Mountain", "Pirates of the Caribbean", and "It's a Small World". You can also meet your favourite Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, and Buzz Lightyear. Walt Disney Studios Park is dedicated to the world of movies and television, with attractions like "Ratatouille: The Adventure" and the "Twilight Zone Tower of Terror".


There are also many other things to do at Euro Disney. You can watch parades and shows with amazing costumes and music, or have a meal in one of the many themed restaurants. The park also has many souvenir shops where you can buy Disney merchandise.



Euro Disney is not only a place for fun and entertainment, but also a place where you can learn. The park has many educational programs, such as the "Behind the Scenes Tour", where you can learn about the park's history and how the attractions are made.
