Each Monday I read a chapter of my own fantasy romance novel, Of Fire and Fate, aloud — and then we dig into the vocabulary, idioms, and language highlights from that chapter together.
You can read along with me using your own copy, or simply listen like an audiobook while you commute, cook, or relax. Either way, immersing yourself in natural, flowing English is one of the most powerful things you can do for your language skills.
Why fiction? Why this book?
Most English learning materials are written for younger learners or use simplified, textbook language that you will never hear in real life. This series uses a real adult novel — rich vocabulary, complex emotions, natural dialogue — the kind of English that actually exists in the world.
Please note: Of Fire and Fate is an adult book containing explicit content and mature themes including domestic abuse and trauma. This series is strictly for learners aged 18 and over.
This series is best suited to B2 — C1 level learners, though all levels are welcome to listen.
