I've done it!!

I've handed in my notice I've decided to go down the freelance route. They were quite shocked but then did say they didn't think the remote work would work if I was in Barbados. They didn't think the people I deal with would like me sitting on the beach if they were in rainy Wales. So I have an end date for work and we know when we are aiming to go to Barbados.

I am still exploring the different freelance roles and some of them are starting to pay off so I'm happy that once I finish work I will be able to carry on and still meet the visa requirements.
