Have been here a few times, and it is an amazing night each time. From the moment we first walked into the garden which is stunning, and were warmly greeted by Chef Glam's mum, I knew we would have a great night. The family are all involved, mum meeting and greeting and working the bar, Chef Glam cooking in the kitchen, Sam was singing a fantastic set. A true family affair this is why I think it is one of the best restaurants in Barbados.

We had walked by the sign on the main road a few times, and as it is only open on a Friday night and Saturday lunch we decided to give it a go in the evening. Chef Glam is also one of the only places we have found (so far) with all the details online that you need to plan a night out.

Check out her Instagram (Chefglambarbados) for her WhatsApp number, opening times, photos etc. I had sent a message in the day to find out the menu options for the night and had a near-instant response which was great. She also cooking tips and ideas on YouTube.

Food

Lots to choose from but the first time we visited we went with the combo plate. This is a protein, side dish and complementary salad for $28BBD. We also had dessert, which I have found lacking so far in the restaurants we visited in Barbados. A beautiful Dulce con leche cupcake. A 2-course dinner with a rum punch for less than $50BBD per person. That’s about £40 for two people. Locals came and went throughout the night to pick up their takeaway orders, so it shows it is good food. When we returned on another night we had the Dolphin fish platter (don't worry it's not actually Flipper, it's just the local's slang for Mahi Mahi) served with fishcakes and 2 sides, and this is great for the nights you are extra hungry.

Below are some of the photos I took on the night, it is served looking this perfect!

Drinks

There are plenty of rum punches to choose from, plus soft drinks and the Homemade 'Old Time' Lemonade (great if you just want something refreshing without the alcohol). I am slowly working my way through the rum punch list. So far I haven't met a rum punch of theirs that I didn't like!

Service

Everyone is really attentive, and we love our chats with the family between eating the amazing food. They really look after you as if you were part of the family,

Atmosphere

At the moment the pop-up is based in their beautiful garden with fairy lights, night-blooming lilies, fruit trees and music. They are converting a building next door into the main restaurant, and the plan is for this to be open in the next few months. Chef Glam's pop-up restaurant is a relaxing and intimate setting that keeps drawing us back for more.

If you are visiting the area when she is open I thoroughly recommend you give it a try. It’s just up a little side road, off the main beach road, near to bus stops, so easy to get to. We will definitely keep going back. You can also search for "Chef Glam" on Google Maps.

Note they are CASH only at the moment, but USD and BBD are both fine.

Update - July 2023 they have now opened an inside area for the wet season so don't let rain put you off as you can sit inside though this is upstairs.
